Mama Guest Curators of the Month: Lauren & Erin from Girl and the Abode
This month of love, February, we are excited to invite over our friends Lauren and Erin to curate their favorite toys from the shop. With their impeccable taste in curating and organizing we had to have them pick out their favorite toys! Lauren and Erin co-own Girl and the Abode, a beautifully curated web shop filled with gorgeous designed practical goods for the home. They also offer their talented home design and organizational services that everyone must go check out! They share with us their favorites and answer our most cherished question below.
She answers our favorite question: What is your favorite part about Motherhood and how has it shaped you?
Becoming a mother has been the best thing to ever happen to me. I know that sounds like something all mothers would say. But, my daughter gave me the strength to learn more about myself and take action on doing things in life I would never have had the courage to do. She makes me a braver person in general. She has given me the gift of feeling such a deep love, I think the vulnerability within that has driven my passion to not be afraid to live the life that I feel is right for our family. Nothing in this world can match motherhood. I'm grateful to get to experience it.
Becoming a mother has made me think more about the person I want to be. I have never re-evaluated myself as much as I have since becoming a mother. She has helped give me the confidence to stand up for what I believe in, and most importantly, she has given me the gift of seeing life through a child's eyes again. Exploring nature, reading books and learning with her has been the greatest gift.
Thank you Lauren and Erin for picking out your favorites from the shop!
ALL of them! They are so great for imaginative play, it's really fun to see what she decides them to do!
Love this for small space living! Works great as a dollhouse or a tent for bigger dolls.
Reese loves playing with her dolls so much. Its compact enough to sit on the table and another great item for small space living. The natural wood is beautiful and looks great in our home with our belongings too.
These are awesome toy storage or for collecting treasures on a nature walk.
Such a gorgeous line! Well made and adorable. Hannah named her Lily. We wake up almost every morning and play dress up with her and a few other favorite dolls.
So much fun! We introduced it to her not really knowing how she would like it, it has turned out to be something she picks up very often and just starts playing!
I leave this sitting out on her little activity table. We did it together a few times and now she goes and does it all on her own. We love puzzles and so its been a nice way to introduce a simple one to her.
They go with everything! So well made and stylish. Love these to death.
