The Sopwith Camel is a British, single-seat fighter aircraft that was introduced to the war in 1917. It was developed by the Sopwith Aviation Company and became one of the best known aircraft of the First World War. It was powered by a single rotary engine and was armed with twin Vickers machine guns. It was highly maneuverable in the hands of an experienced pilot, an important characteristic in the relatively low-speed, low-altitude dogfights of that war. No glue or batteries required.
